Why do you want to automate your Twitter account?
* To pump out great content to your Twitter followers
* So you don't have to write any tweets
* To keep your content fresh and up to date. If you are not big into updating your Twitter account then this is for you
* Set it and leave it!
It's going to take a little work at first but it's worth an hour for content forever!
* Find your favorite blogs that you RT their blog posts anyways
* Pick up their RSS link
* Put that link in any RSS burner and link that to your Twitter account
That way when ever they update their blog it sends it to your Twitter followers.

Dude what are you talking about? If your not giving your Twitter followers great content and resources other than your stuff you will never be an authority. You must join in the bigger picture then your little box. You can do this will as many blogs as you want. Make sure you don't do to many of them, or people will think your spamming them.
Key points:
* Pick blogs in your niche
* Make the blogs family friendly or you will lose followers
* Make share it's something you would read yourself. Why would you give people something you wouldn't want to read yourself?
* Maybe 5 to 7 blogs. That way there is something being tweeted everyday.
You can really give your followers great content!
